new pass port requirments for Americans to enter into the Bahamas

Filed under: kiteboarding — crossshore @ 2:40 am

There has been a few changes for Americans traveling to the Bahamas.
you guys used to be able to get in with a drivers license or a birth certificate.
the Bahamian goverment and the USA goverment is requiring you to have a valid pass port to enter the Bahamas.

The good news is some of the major hotels here in Nassau like Atlantis and some of the bigger hotels (in the cable beach strip) are refunding there guests the amount it cost for them to get there pass ports. (nice)
just thought I would put that up for any1 wishing to come and ride in the Bahamas.(and get there pass port paid for)

I don’t know how long it will last for but it sounded like a good deal so I figured I would let people know.

* Beginning January 23, 2007, ALL persons, including U.S. citizens, traveling by air between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Bermuda will be required to present a valid passport, Air NEXUS card, or U.S. Coast Guard Merchant Mariner Document, or an Alien Registration Card, Form I-551, if applicable.
